Ana Kokkinos’ Blessed Joins LFF Lineup
Australian movie Blessed, directed by Ana Kokkinos (Head On, The Book of Revelation) has been named as a late addition to the London Film Festival programme.
The film, which won the best screenplay award at this year’s San Sebastian festival, is adapted from the play Who’s Afraid of the Working Class, and stars Miranda Otto, Frances O’Connor and Deborra-Lee Furness. The story tells of a group of troubled youngsters who wander the streets of Melbourne late at night, while their anxious mothers wait at home.
Blessed will receive it’s British premiere at the LFF, and will screen on October 28 and 29. Visit www.bfi.org.uk/lff for further details.
