Hurt Locker Storms Producers Guild Awards
Although it may have lost out to James Cameron’s Avatar at The Golden Globes earlier this month and been overlooked at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, celebrated war drama The Hurt Locker was voted Best Feature at the Producers Guild of America (PGA) awards held over the weekend in Hollywood.
The film’s four producers, director Kathryn Bigelow, screenwriter Mark Boal, Nicholas Chartier and Greg Shapiro, accepted the Darryl F Zanuck award at the ceremony. The film beat out nine fellow nominees, including An Education, Avatar, District 9, Inglourious Basterds, Up and Up in the Air.
In other categories, Up won Best Animated Feature and The Cove was awarded Best Documentary.
