Kathryn Bigelow To be Held By The Taliban
Source: Production Weekly
Kathryn Bigelow’s Iraq war dram The Hurt Locker is easily one of the best films of 2009, and now the director is lining up an equally as toothy follow-up project. Production Weekly broke the news in a Tweet that:” Kathryn Bigelow is attached to direct Held By The Taliban based on David Rohde’s series of articles in the NY Times”
Published last year, Rohde’s piece is entitled 7 Months, 10 Days in Captivity and is about his experiences being kidnapped in Afghanistan while working on a book about the country. No other details have emerged, but in the meantime you can read the original article here.
