The forum, which is in association with the BFI London Film Festival, is designed to bring together media professionals working in film, TV, publishing, games, advertising, mobile, interactive or online in order to create a community where innovative cross-media projects can be launched.
Lizzie Francke, Senior Production & Development Executive, BFI Film Fund said: “The Cross-Media Forum allows for both strategic thinking and practical advice. It is a key date in my diary and continues to help me evolve my thinking on the crucial subject of transmedia.”
The forum will be separated into a conference day on 16 October 2012, where debate will centre on the covergence of the film industry and digital sector before a networking drinks reception.
The Pixel Market will then follow on the 17 October and 18 October 2012, the only finance market in the world dedicated to fiction and non-fiction cross-media projects.
The market will bring together over 100 decision-makers, commissioners, financiers from film, TV, online, interactive, games, mobile and publishing.
Up to 30 international teams will be selected, with 8 of them going head-to-head at The Pixel Pitch to compete for ARTE’s Pixel Pitch Prize.
The Cross-Media Forum takes place in London from the 16 to 19 Oct 2012.
