Daniel Craig's third James Bond film Skyfall is released late October, after Sky will dedicate a channel purely to Bond films for the entire month
Sky Movies HD will run the channel throughout October to show the entire catalogue of Bond titles from MGM, prior to the release of Skyfall, directed by Sam Mendes, on October 26.
It is the first time in history all 22 Bond films are available on one platform, in HD and without commercials, as the franchise celebrates its fiftieth birthday – the first film Dr No, starring Sean Connery and Ursula Andress, was released in October 1962.
The films will also be available on Sky’s on-demand Sky Anytime+. Skyfall, the next installment of the franchise, will be made available in 2013.
Director of Sky Movies Ian Lewis said in a statement: “The Bond movies are a very special franchise and we want to ensure that our customers will be able to experience it in a way they’ve never been able to before, and so we’re going to create a dedicated channel SKY MOVIES 007 HD devoted entirely to James Bond showing the entire catalogue of films and loads of extra material. We’re delighted that our customers will have the best Bond movie-watching experience ever with Sky Movies – uninterrupted, in HD, on demand and on the go.”
