Alex Gibney swells team as Jigsaw Productions looks to expand

The director of Oscar winning Taxi to the Dark Side is currently working on a Wikileaks documentary

Alex Gibney has employed two heavyweight producers to work on production and development of future projects at Jigsaw Productions.

The Oscar-winning documentarian and director of Taxi to the Dark Side, Enron: Smartest Guys in the Room and Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer has brought Stacey Offman and Dave Snyder on board at his New York-based production company Jigsaw Productions.

Offman will work as Vice President of Development and Production while Dave Snyder is appointed as Vice President of Development.

Offman is a former Consulting Producer of SEO Productions Inc., as well as the Director of Content at Reboot Media. Her production credits include Morgan Spurlock’s Where in the World Is Osama Bin Laden? and Joe Cross’ Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.

Joining from MTV, Snyder has managed shows ranging from Moving Up on TLC to science series Dean Of Invention with inventor Dean Kamen for Discovery Networks.

Both will report directly to Gibney – founder and president of Jigsaw.

“Hiring Stacey and Dave is an important move for us as we accelerate our growth” Gibney told Screen.

“Jigsaw’s aim is to roll out our distinctive brand of content to theatres, the US networks and international partners, and Stacey and Dave have the skills and experience to partner with me in this effort as we expand Jigsaw’s business.”

Jigsaw recently announced it had sold a piece of the company to Content Media Corporation. Gibney is currently in production on an investigative film for HBO and a Wikileaks film for Universal, among others.
