Made In 3 Mills Film Festival To Celebrate Studio’s Legacy

East London’s 3 Mills Studio is to celebrate its impressive filmmaking legacy with the dedicated Made in 3 Mills Film Festival, running from October 4 – 7, 2012

Alongside hosting the Olympics opening and closing ceremonies, 3 Mills Studios has also housed a variety of film shoots over recent years, from stop-motion animation adventures like The Fantastic Mr Fox and Frankenweenie (above) to thrillers such as Berberian Sound Studio and Ill Manors and dramas like The Arbor.

And now some of these 3 Mills-shot features will be showcased in a special film festival, with screenings being held on the studio lot and other nearby locations.

Additionally, a full calendar of special events will accompany the films, such as panel discussions and dedicated workshops. Highlights include an animation masterclass with animator Tim Allen (The Fantastic Mr Fox, Frankenweenie), a Foley sound workshop with Laura Kloss and Camilo Tirado, an authentic Bangladeshi feast ahead of a screening of Brick Lane and an Ill Manors drinks reception in the prison set featured in the film.
