Inception acquires four titles for multi-platform distribution

Pathfinders: In The Company of Strangers is one of four films bought by Inception Media Group for a multi-platform release

Inception Media Group – which specialises in multi-platform distribution – has acquired the rights to four films for its library, and will experiment with alternative forms of distribution beyond a conventional theatrical release.

The diversified media company has become market leaders in the production, acquisition and distribution of entertainment content on platforms beyond cinema screens and DVD home entertainment.

With long-term licenses across a variety of platforms, Inception has been rapidly expanding its catalogue of entertainment programming for home video, digital, VOD and television.

The company boasts a catalogue of approximately 50 filmed entertainment properties and over 2,500 hours of digital content encompassing feature films, episodic television series, documentaries and special interest programming.

The new films are Curt A. Sindelar’s Pathfinders: In The Company of Strangers, acquired from Koan Inc., Matt Jaissle’s Back From Hell, from Opus Distribution, Scott W. Mckinlay’s Creep Van  from Artist View Entertainment and Clive Brook’s 1994 film On Approval from B2MP.

David Borshell, partner of Inception Media Group, said: “Inception continues to aggressively build its library of content and exploit it fully across all media platforms.

“In just a few short years we have built a solid catalog as well as extremely strong distribution channels that maximize revenues for content owners.”
