And still the box office tills keep ringing for James Cameron’s sci-fi actioner Avatar, which has now taken $1.14 billion at the international box office making it the second highest-grossing film of all time. It means Cameron has directed the biggest two films in history; this and Titanic.

Even though Avatar only opened on December 17, it became the highest grossing film of 2009 in the USA, and continues to make millions throughout the world. It looks set to break even more records in the weeks to come, and news that Cameron is planning a sequel only adds fuel to the fire.
