Buscemi Goes On The Road

Casting has been confirmed for director Walter Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries) adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s classic 1957 novel On the Road, and the line-up includes Steve Buscemi, Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), Alice Brada (Predators), Danny Morgan (Off the Hook) and Terrence Howard. They join Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley, who play Kerouac and his friend Neal Cassady as they travel across North America, as well as Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams and Viggo Mortensen.

The $25-million project has been in development for some time, and is being made by MK2, American Zeotrope, Videofilmes and Film4. Filming is underway, under the watchful eye of producers Francis Ford Coppola, Rebecca Yeldham, Nathanael Karmitz and Charles Gillibert.
